MISEPIC JOURNAL · ENGLISH GUIDE

Listing photos, ready for Etsy & Shopify.

Keep your originals. Make a separate set of copies for each destination, check the framing, then upload them to your shop.

Last checked: 17 October 2026 · No account required

The studio has Japanese and English controls; choose either language in the header. Links from this guide open the English studio in a new tab so you can keep the guide beside it. Japanese labels below also help you find the same controls if you switch languages. Each export creates one set of dimensions.

Choose dimensions for the destination

Etsy recommends listing photos with both dimensions at least 2000 pixels. Leave space around the subject and check the different thumbnail crops in Etsy’s listing controls. Larger files can cause upload difficulties. See Etsy’s current image guidance ↗.

For square Shopify product photos, 2048 × 2048 pixels usually works well. Your theme affects their display, so check both the product page and collection grid. See Shopify’s media guidance ↗.

These are listing photos. This workflow does not create print-ready artwork for buyers.

Make the first set

  1. Add a few photos. Use the large drop area for JPEG, PNG or WebP files. Your first upload replaces the demo pictures.
  2. Choose the size. Select Shopify — 2048 × 2048 for a square set. For your own dimensions, select カスタム (Custom). The left input is width and the right is height; each side can be 320–2560 pixels.
  3. Keep the full image. Select 全体を入れる (Fit the whole photo). 中央で切り抜く (Center crop) can remove the edges. Check every preview.
  4. Set the space around it. 余白 (Padding) adds space around the photo. Its colour fills that space and transparent areas; it does not remove a photographed background. Leave 店名を添える (Shop name) blank for a simple photo export.
  5. Name the set. Under ファイル名の先頭 (Filename prefix), try shopify-mug. Choose JPEG under 保存形式 (Format). Quality affects file size, but does not guarantee a specific size or recover detail.
  6. Save and inspect. Select まとめてZIP保存 (Save all as ZIP). Extract the ZIP and inspect the images. It also includes settings and a source-to-output filename list. That CSV is for file management, not marketplace import.

To keep existing filenames, select 元のファイル名を維持 under 保存するファイル名. With the same image format, names stay unchanged; converting format changes the extension. Duplicate or unsafe names stop output so you can rename the source files or choose numbered names. Images are still processed and re-encoded. This does not replace images in a live store or preserve its product links and alt text.

Make another set from the same photos

Keep the pictures open and select カスタム (Custom). This resets the dimensions to the custom preset, so enter both width and height. A landscape example within MisePic’s limits is width 2560 and height 2000.

Change the prefix to etsy-mug, check the displayed dimensions and framing, then save another ZIP. This is an example size, not an Etsy requirement.

MisePic currently exports one size at a time. It does not publish listings or automatically create marketplace folders. Give the extracted folders clear destination names.

Check before uploading

  • Preview the destination’s thumbnail crops. Fitting the original photo here cannot control later cropping by a marketplace.
  • Inspect a full-size image for sharpness. Enlarging a small photo does not add detail.
  • Check file sizes and current upload rules. Reduce JPEG quality only while the result still represents your product well.
  • Use images and branding you have permission to use. MisePic is independent of Etsy and Shopify.

Your files and the tool’s limits

Images are processed in your browser. Input limits are 30 files, 20 MB per file, 120 MB total and 30 megapixels per image. Output is limited to 150 MB total; your device may need smaller batches.

Download before closing the page. 設定を保存 (Save settings) stores editing settings in this browser, not your pictures.

Optional usage measurement is off by default. With your consent, we count tool usage and whether you followed this guide’s fixed link. We do not send your images, filenames, shop name or full URL to the measurement endpoint, or identify your country or language. We use a random session token and store a daily hash to remove repeat events. Session records cover 60 days and older records are deleted when a new event is received.

Sending a feature-interest answer is a separate explicit action. For the multi-destination option, it also includes the guide-link category. An answer is not a purchase or reservation. The current tool is free; the proposed paid features are not on sale.
